In May 2025, I completed a placement at Sky Sports News, later pitching a documentary now in production.
During the original placement, I gained experience across multiple departments, including social media, TV production, the news desk and digital.
I shadowed reporters on location at Crystal Palace training ground and during an interview with Alessia Russo at the Football Writers’ Association Awards. I also contributed copy to the Sky Sports News digital team, published as part of a wider multi-journalist feature.
I later maintained relationships with senior news editors, successfully pitching a documentary idea now in production with the bespoke content team.
Throughout this ongoing experience, I have developed a strong understanding of how stories are taken from initial concept through to broadcast within a professional, national newsroom.
